The "Israel beyond the Conflict" campaign is designed to highlight Israel's positive contributions to the world at large. Veering from Israel's often ultra-political connotation, this initiative will promote the awareness and education of Israeli developments that have bettered the international community. Flyers will be distributed around campus-specifically posted on heavily populated areas-that will feature short, but effective, tidbits of information to further this point.
The most effective way to promote Israel advocacy is simply to visit Israel.
To that end, resource sheets have been compiled with information about upcoming trips to Israel-most of which are heavily subsidized by various organizations-that (almost) anyone is eligible to apply for and attend. The info sheets will be distributed at various PIC events and posted on the PIC Web site and Facebook group.
The efforts of PIC's Advocacy Committee will be both culminated and launched at Israel Advocacy Night, a one night event that will feature a keynote speaker, specializing in effective advocacy techniques. Co-sponsored Standwithus-an organization dedicated to promoting Israel Advocacy, especially on college campuses-Advocacy Night will also feature break-out sessions about the speaker, information packets regarding hands-on ways to help Israel and combat its opponents, and possibly film screenings (like "Obsession").
Other upcoming events include lectures by communication/Israel advocacy expert Neil Lazarus, former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Middle East expert Aryeh Green.
